Where…
Across the world in Mozambique, Indonesia, Kenya, Haiti, Madagascar, Nepal and Central America the Eden Reforestation has projects running. When you switch to carbon neutral shipping your contribution will be directly effecting the bio-diversity of the planet.
Overview
Reforestation and ecological restoration is required now more than ever, due to the manufacturing and mass production together with that of the logistics industry. The Eden Reforestation project has been running across the developing world partnering with local communities to regenerate their forests. The project is committed to the training of the local community to play their part to protect and develop their forests.
About this project
Over the past 15 years, the reforestation project, Eden Reforestation, has become the biggest organisation dedicated to planting trees across the world. Around the world in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique, Kenya, and Central America just shy of 400 million trees have been planted. This environmental contribution has directly given new opportunities to local community to take action against global deforestation, species extinction and climate change.
Impact of this project…
The sustainable relationships created between communities and their environments not only helps to transform our environment but the lives of the workers. By providing impoverished workers with a fair and consistent wage they are able to provide for their families, send their children to school and achieve independence and freedom in their own lives.
The Eden Reforestation project has helped people from developing communities to transform their lives creating new opportunities and minimizing poverty. Not only is the life style of the local communities improving, they are also contributing to a positive environmental change.
Through offsetting your carbon footprint in shipping we can make a direct impact to the developing world and sustaining our way of live for generations to come.
